Since graduating with honours from Brighton Polytechnic, Richard has worked in a wide variety of industries and contracting areas. Starting in the field as an engineer, he has worked for major national contractors, and also in some specialised fields including: hospitals, schools, large and small industrial projects. Richard’s experience also extends to commercial projects in the form of offices, hotels, high demand retail refurbishment and as a one off, following its destruction by fire, the rebuilding of The Grand Pier in Weston-Super-Mare (where he acted as the main contractor’s senior project manager with responsibility for controlling all aspects of production and re-construction).
Richard’s role as the construction director for the UK, has encompassed a variety of successful projects across a range of sectors, his wide ranging experience proving critical in planning, control and overseeing the teams involved in delivering this success.
