Bernard is a chartered builder with almost 25 years experience working in construction management. Since his graduation, his career has involved a variety of roles from site engineer to contracts manager, leading to his current position as Group Managing Director of Nevin Construction. Bernard has been most instrumental in developing Nevin Construction into one of the leading contractors in Ireland, as highlighted by the extensive portfolio of complex and diverse projects successfully completed.

Key to Bernard’s success was his experience as contracts manager with one of Ireland largest construction companies; working on significant residential and commercial developments, such as the extensive Faithlegg Estate in Waterford City. In pursuit of further challenges, Bernard led teams on such high profile projects as Claridges Hotel, Zeneca and The Home Office, whilst working for a major UK national contractor.

This extensive experience has shaped Bernard’s ability to lead the group. In particular, he has an acute appreciation of the challenges the team faces (from the client and the design team through to the various subcontractors); which has led to the successful completion of countless projects to the satisfaction of all the major stakeholders. His international expertise is ideally suited to his current role, where his primary focus is on the overall business development, overseeing all elements of client liaison and relationship building, thereby ensuring the ongoing success of Nevin Construction group.
